Before I Begin...
WOW! I haven't updated this blog with new posts since April 2020? Time to update this blog for real! "StyleSpace by JBM" is back, baby! :DRain Boots vs. Riding Boots
Which style of boots are you going with here?
Rain Boots.
^ from: (Sloggers) - You don't have to be in high water or rain to enjoy rain boots.
Rain boots have their appeal in the sense they can be colorful and have certain patterns. Some people would think it's pointless to have rain boots for when it is not actually raining. It was much the same way I used to dislike the boots into jeans/pants trend for when it is not in piles of snow or going through some high water. Rain boots come in a number of different styles ranging from solid to patterned. They can have a matte style finish, or they can be very shiny and glossy. They can be as fashionable and as versatile as crocs rubber clogs. Fashionistas who usually fancy rain boots often love Hunter Wellington (or "Wellies") the most among rain boots. A wide variety of knock-off brands and inexpensive options are also available for those who can't afford Hunter Wellington rain boots. Whatever the case, their appeal is very real.
Riding Boots.
^ from: (Macy's) - You don't have to work on a ranch or be involved in equestrian sports to enjoy riding boots.
You could say that riding boots are the more chic option as far as these flat boots are concerned. I personally love riding boots for their sleek silhouette. It is because of their sleekness that riding boots can be stylish and... if I may use this word, sexy as well. Most fashionistas usually wear riding boots either tucked into jeans or even in riding pants. In fact, I often fancy an equestrian-style outfit for cold weather. It's casual to wear riding boots with sleek jeans and a warm jacket. Casual, yet classy and chic.
So now that you know about the two styles of boots, which do you prefer?
Rain Boots vs. Riding Boots: Which is Better?
There is no real right or wrong answer here. Whichever one you like more depends on your style and your own tastes in fashion.
You know how some guys don't like certain things girls like, because and in response, "it's a girl thing?" Well, that's the vibe I get with rain boots. It's kind of like why I am not crazy about any sort of animal print outfits. I wouldn't consider rain boots to compliment nearly any sort of outfit. If I had to choose between rain boots and riding boots, I'd surely go with riding boots. Riding boots just have that great sense of style and sleek nature that makes them charming and fashionable to wear. They suit outfits better to me than rain boots.
On the other hand, rain boots are more versatile in terms of style. Chances are, you are not going to choose rain boots to compliment a semi-classy or semi-formal style outfit if you choose to wear any kind of boots with the outfit. So one would surely try to wear rain boots for a lot of different casual or daytime outfits. Really, you'd be best served showing your creative side with some rain boots and with a funky pattern to them. They are more expressive and not as chic as riding boots.
Really, it is up to you. All I wanted to do is just bring both styles of boots to light.
