Tory Burch

John B. Marine | 5:38 PM | | | | Be the first to comment!
(UPDATED: January 18, 2023)

Meet high-end designer Victoria Burch, better known as "Tory" Burch. @toryburch is a very famous American designer in fashion circles today. You may have seen her fashions if you see two "T's" united together. I figured I'll use this blog post to feature and discuss this designer and her fashions. Are you ready?

A Note About Brands Posts...

All opinions about specific brands are of my own. Usually, I either make a post on my own or am contacted by a company to post about a brand. This post was created on my own without being contacted.

LATEST UPDATE(S)/REVISION(S):

JAN 18 2023 - updated overall look of post, added extra material

--- Tory Burch ---

Let's get to know Tory Burch and her fashions, shall we?

^ from: www.forbes.com - This is the high-end American fashion designer Tory Burch.

Victoria "Tory" Burch is a (born: June 17, 1966)-year old women's fashion designer born and raised in the Philadelphia, PA, USA area. She born in Valley Forge, PA, USA. Two stylized "T"s in a circle is the logo that defines Tory Burch. Her fashions are stylish and elegant. Tory Burch fashions are usually seen among footwear and handbags. The scope of Tory Burch's fashions, however, extend to basic clothing, swimwear, and even fragrances. She even has a collection called Tory Sport- which, as you would imagine, is a collection of her active clothing styles. I usually see Tory Burch ballet flats the most as far as Tory Burch outfits are concerned. No matter what, you will find plenty of charming fashions for women from Tory Burch.

For the record- I think Tory Burch herself is pretty cute! She looks so charming and smiles sweetly.

Here are a few examples of Tory Burch's fashions...

Is this enough focus on Tory Burch for you?

Tory Burch - Final Thoughts.

I think Tory Burch is an excellent designer of high-end fashions. If you can afford her many different fashion items, you will be treated to some fine style. Tory Burch surely deserves to be mentioned in the same vein of various other fabulous fashion designers if she isn't already.

Swarovski

John B. Marine | 7:07 PM | | | Be the first to comment!
(UPDATED: January 18, 2023)

Austrian bling kings Swarovski offer some charming items adorned in their exceptional crystals. I once visited a Swarovski store before. I tell you- they offer some unique and beautiful items. Not just traditional jewelry is offered, but also unique items adorned in Swarovski crystals. The ultimate in bedazzle can be had with the likes of Swarovski. So this blog post is my own look at Swarovski and their fabulous sparkly goods.

NOTE: All of my "Brands" themed posts involve personal opinions on the represented companies. This is in no way any kind of sponsored post.

LATEST UPDATE(S)/REVISION(S):

JAN 18 2023 - added extra material, edited out a lot of content

Swarovski

NOTE: Some information taken from the Wikipedia entry on Swarovski.

Swarovski AG's history dates back to 1895. It was founded by Daniel Swarovski (was Daniel Swartz) with a company originally called A. Kosman, Daniel Swartz and Company in Wattens, Austria. The company has grown and expanded over time to become one of the premier designers of quality jewelry. Today's Swarovski could make almost anything with their fabulous crystals. For example, I mentioned I visited a Swarovski store once. I saw a USB flash drive adorned in Swarovski crystals at the store I visited. Researching this topic, I even saw cars adorned in Swarovski crystals. I even noted an XBOX 360 in Swarovski crystals. So in a sense, almost ANYTHING can be adorned with the quality crystals of Swarovski.

I've grown respectful of Swarovski because their crystal-adorned items look fabulous. Many of their products and offerings are simply beautiful. These are like the ultimate in bling. Here is a sample of some of Swarovski's offerings:

^ "Swarovski's SS15 collection highlight"

Here is another Swarovski video for your enjoyment:

^ "Swarovski Pure Brilliance"

Wow. You can look around on YouTube and elsewhere for more crystallized offerings from Swarovski.

Swarovski: Final Thoughts

Swarovski offers some of the most beautiful and most stylish crystallized offerings. Everything ranging from jewelry to certain items you wouldn't think could be adorned with crystals is done almost effortlessly by Swarovski. They offer the most beautiful bling for your buck (see what I did there?). If you want to shine and sparkle (and if money weren't an object), you can do no wrong going with Swarovski and their products.

Septum Rings

John B. Marine | 1:54 AM | | | | Be the first to comment!
Body jewelry besides on ears or navels usually freak me out. Trending of late are septum rings. You may probably know already how I feel about nose rings without even reading the rest of this introduction. Whether or not you agree with my thoughts on septum rings entirely depends. I will try to introduce septum rings to my audience as best as I can. So welcome to "StyleSpace by JBM" and another blog post of mine!

--- Septum Rings ---

Let me provide an example of what I am bound to discuss in this blog post. Take a look:

septum ring trend
^ from: www.fashionjazz.co.za - Give your face some appeal by wearing a septum ring on your nose.

Fashionable types who decide to wear septum rings are looking to make their own style statement. If one looks to make a statement with facial jewelry, going with septum rings is one way to make a statement. Certain celebrities and personalities such as Jessica Biel have made nose rings trendy. The look became trendy as of 2014, so this is not exactly a new trend.

In their defense to most people, septum rings aren't supposed to be cute. It doesn't make them overly stylish, either. Facial jewelry personally either freaks me out or just doesn't look right to me personally. I've seen this trend being described in ways ranging from edgy to (believe it or not) fun and flirty. I've even noted some of my favorite fashion personalities sport nose rings. The practice of wearing nose rings take on a number of different traditions and status symbols in other cultures. I am certainly not one to question cultural matters and fashion. But for a lot of people, this whole nose piercing deal is primarily to try to look cool.

--- Septum Rings: Final Thoughts ---

No way would I ever recommend septum rings as something that would make certain individuals look better. They can be a turn-off to me as almost any piercing that isn't on the ears or on the navel. These nose rings are not stylish in any sense to me. They are about as unappealing to me as almost any other facial jewelry that isn't an ear piercing. If you enjoy such jewelry to your nose or any other facial piercing other than any ear piercing, then go right ahead. Researching this topic, there was even a site that talked about women with "beautiful" facial piercings well. Like... there's a such thing as beautiful facial piercings or beautiful examples of facial piercings? No way in Heaven or Hell one can ever look beautiful with facial piercings that aren't ear piercings. And even still, I am not into piercings much at all except either on the ears or on the navel (which exceptions). Remember how I mentioned someone described septum rings as fun and flirty. Please. Calling septum rings "fun and flirty" like putting "beautiful" and "gladiator sandals" in the same sentence- THERE'S NO SUCH THING!!! It was an article on Huffington Post that described septum rings as "fun and flirty," by the way.

My job here is not to agree with or praise any and all fashions, but to critique and discuss fashions and trends in my own way regardless of what anyone thinks. I am well aware that not every fashion or trend is appealing to me. I do try to at least feel like I have a general appreciation for most or all styles of fashion. Even with that said, I am not at all enthralled at all about septum rings. Except for certain cultural means of these piercings, I will NOT be recommending anyone get one of these nose piercings, nor will I be praising one's looks because of having a certain nose piercing or wearing some septum ring. If these sorts of things please you, go right ahead and wear this style with pride. Even still, this is a style I disapprove of and fail to find the least bit charming. I find it to be totally terrible and almost as bad as any other kind of facial piercing. A real turn-off to me, for sure.

You want to make your face look stylish? Wear earrings. I have no problems with headbands or hair bows. Floral crowns and certain other headdresses are charming. I'd rather see a stylish pair of earrings or any other facial/head jewelry or accessories to frame one's face and head rather than almost any facial piercing- especially and including septum rings. Leave stuff like septum rings to those who wear them for cultural reasons and cultural functions, and not to mention the edgy/Goth/punk/hardcore set.

Double Pearl Chokers

John B. Marine | 6:15 PM | | | | | Be the first to comment!
Trendy of late among necklaces are double pearl chokers from the likes of Karl Lagerfeld and Chanel. These are chokers that that have two big pearls at either end of the choker- one small pearl and one big one. What do I think of these chokers? This "Love or Loathe?" post details my thoughts on these pearl necklaces. To get started, let me show you a picture of the kind of necklace I've described here in this introduction:

pearl wire choker
^ from: www.amazon.com - Ever seen pearl chokers like these? They've been trendy lately, thanks to Karl Lagerfeld.

I'm all for making statements and such, though I am not crazy over statement pieces. However, I don't really like these chokers, and I'm not sure I want to have this as a statement necklace or want to make if I were trying to come up with outfits for females. I just don't like these all that much. The advantage to this style pearl choker is that they are quite elegant and charming. Conversely, I don't find them beautiful enough to really be fond of them. When I think elegance, I think of a female's beauty just being unleashed and expressed in an impressive manner. These chokers just don't do it for me. I'm sorry.

Maybe my problem with these chokers is the fact that there are two big pearls. Statement pieces are about big and bold accents and details, but I just don't like these details all that much, and I don't think they entirely equate to a beautiful outfit. I was even on LOOKBOOK earlier today and saw one of these chokers paired with this beautifully elegant outfit. I commented that the choker was the only knock on her otherwise beautiful evening-type outfit. It's just me, but I'm not as excited or as awed over seeing these. Maybe you like them, but I'm not liking these all that much at all.

It's time for you to speak up.

What do you think about these trendy double pearl chokers?

Ombré

John B. Marine | 9:03 PM | | | | | | | | | 2 Comments so far
Ombré is one of the hottest trends of late. It involves color gradients which offer transitions from one color to another. They often adds a different character to looks. Ombré isn't just for clothes and footwear; it can also be for hair. If you hombres are interested in ombré, don't pass up this blog post. This is my "StyleSpace by JBM" contribution to the super-trendy realm of ombré.

I am referring to this trend by its proper spelling. So that's why you see the accented "e" in my post on this trend.

--- Ombré at a Glance ---

Come and get your ombré inspiration!

Ombré in Fashion.

Ombré and its appeal lie in the use of color gradients. One color blends into another to provide a unique look. These items can look great if done right... or horrible if done wrong. The color shifts can provide colorful and artistic diversions. The best way to think of ombré is to imagine dipping something into a can of paint or in something that instantly changes the color of an item as you dip something into it. So if you were to take a clean white shirt and dip half of it into a bowl of fruit punch, the bottom half of the shirt would likely stain red. By the way... I DO NOT RECOMMEND YOU TRYING THIS!!! That's unless you intentionally want to ruin your finest clothes. Then by all means, go ahead and intentionally screw up your clothes!

Ombré requires at least two colors. Sometimes, ombré can consist of more than two colors; but most ombré looks usually often consist of just two different colors- a base color followed by some other color introduced. Some garments with ombré design either involve a consistent gradient or a progressive gradient consisting of multiple solid colors.

Garments with ombré color styles can range from skirts and dresses to even varying denim garments. Tops are usually the most common ombré garments, including various T-shirts and certain feminine tops. Skirts and dresses often are great with ombré treatment. Some shoes have ombré detail to them. Believe it or not, there are even some men's garments with ombré color styles. For this blog post, though, I am mostly concerned with feminine ombré.

Ombré With Hair.

Most ombré hairstyles are usually brunette hair on top with some blonde hair down the bottom. Some others usually have some color of hair paired with some different color at the bottom portions of one's hair.

Ombré With Accessories.

Of course, various accessories and bags have their own ombré influence. There are items such as handbags that have one color blend into another.

So to make a long story short, ombré is all about color gradients. Why should something be just one simple color when it can be a garment or accessory with one color blending into another? It's one of the latest of-the-moment trends that has some immense appeal to it.

--- Ombré Examples ---

Here are some examples of ombré in fashion and in accessories.

ombré shirt
^ from: www.amazon.com - This tie-front shirt has a subtle ombré gradient to it. The orange color gets richer and darker down the shirt.

ombré shorts
^ from: www.amazon.com - These high-waisted shorts have an ombré color style to them.

ombré skirt
^ from: www.shopbop.com - Just like "StyleSpace by JBM's" theme, this ombré skirt has a sunset theme to it.

fiery ombré dress
^ from: www.shopbop.com - This dress comes in a fiery ombré color style.

cool ombré dress
^ from: www.shopbop.com - Was the last dress too fiery for you? If so, cool off with this very cool blue ombré dress.

ombre shoes
^ from: www.overstock.com - Shoes can have ombré treatment as well. Take a look at this gradient of teal and black.

ombré handbag
^ from: www.amazon.com - Handbags can get the ombré treatment.

ombré watch
^ from: shop.nordstrom.com - Even watches can get ombré treatment. Peep this Juicy Couture watch, for example.

Interesting how changes in color can make even the most basic of garments a bit more unique, eh?

--- Ombré Around the Internet ---

Not just the blogosphere, but also other points online. Here are how fashionable types show their ombré loving (some bloggers may appear more than once):

• "Purple ombre!" (Nany's Klozet) « purple ombré button-down shirt.
• "REMIX: ombré denim shorts..." (Nany's Klozet) « ombré denim shorts.
• "OMBRE TIE DIE SHORTS" (Haute and Rebellious Blog) « cut off and torn ombré denim shorts.
• "Metallic Gold" (Haute and Rebellious Blog) « ombré sandals.
• "Blush" (.a little princess.) « ombré nails.
• "Ombre Denim Top + Red Frilly Skirt" (Ivonne Stacy Style) « ombré tie-front denim shirt.
• "I'm Shifting" (Always Maylee) « ombré necklace.
• "My Ombre Hair" (Aki no Yuutsu) « ombré hair.
• "Ombre Pastel Shorts" (Kolorowa dusza) « ombré denim shorts in pastel colors.

• ombré on LOOKBOOK « LOOKBOOK ombré outfits.
• ombré on Chictopia « Chictopia ombré outfits.

Just so you know, I don't hotlink images of most other blogs because I want to avoid any sort of copyright issues. So be sure to visit the links if the content interests you.

--- Ombré: Final Thoughts ---

Ombré is something you either like or dislike. Some people are about as sick of ombré as most are with (for example) Bohemian style. The color diversion alone is enough to care about ombré. The only thing to be careful of is in trying to put together certain outfits considering the ombré item(s) offering the color diversion. If you are able to properly balance ombré and mix it in properly with your outfits, you will look great rocking ombré. I don't have a problem with ombré whatsoever unless there are some horrid-looking pieces given the ombré treatment.

Otherwise, proudly rock your ombré items, fashionistas!

Ear Cuffs

John B. Marine | 8:42 PM | | | | 3 Comments so far
(UPDATED: September 20, 2013)

Ear cuffs offer a much more statement-making piece for the ears than what most earrings offer. They are one of the latest trends to surface and take off. Ear cuffs can be as bold as false eyelashes. Some of the different ear cuff designs can range from mild to wild. Almost every ear cuff offers their own powerful statement. How you choose to express yourself with them is your call. This blog post is all about ear cuffs.

LATEST UPDATE(S)/REVISION(S):

SEP 20 2013 - added another blogging inspiration

--- Ear Cuffs ---

These pictures will set the mood here:

ear cuff
^ from: www.amazon.com - Here is a bold ear cuff not being worn by someone.

ear cuffs worn
^ from: shop.nordstrom.com - This is a flame ear cuff worn on one's ear.

leaf ear cuffs
^ from: www.amazon.com - Here is an expressive ear cuff shaped like leaves from a tree.

simple ear cuffs
^ from: www.amazon.com - Not all ear cuffs are massive. Some make modest statements, such as these wire ear cuffs.

Ear cuffs are statement-making pieces for your ears. They can be expressive as statement earrings or any number of large earrings. Many of these ear cuffs are artistic and expressive, often times more expressive than even the boldest of earrings. I mentioned earlier that these ear cuffs can be as expressive to the ears as false eyelashes to one's eyes. Just like false eyelashes, though, ear cuffs can dramatically add character to one's ears and even add personality to outfits. A lot of ear cuffs are pierceless, but there are those that do pierce your ears.

Blogging Insight.

I can only think of one post I've seen that has featured ear cuffs. This is the only post I can think of to provide blogging insight... so take it or leave it:

• "Cutely Spiked" (.a little princess.) « a golden spiked ear cuff.
• (ADDED: August 20, 2013) "Simply Burgundy" (Style Cassentials) « a snake ear cuff.
• (ADDED: September 20, 2013) "STAY GOLD!" (SerialKlother) « a jeweled ear cuff.

So you now have some insight on ear cuffs.

--- Ear Cuffs: Final Thoughts ---

Not every fashionista can sport them on their ears, but I like them. Don't love them, but I think they are very nice. The E! Network show "Fashion Police" had a "Gotta Have It... Make it Stop" debate over ear cuffs, and they approved of them unanimously. I like ear cuffs as long as they don't look like they are trying to dominate the sides of your head. One can really make a statement with these. Are you going to make your own statement with a chic or artistic pair of ear cuffs? It's your call.

Tattoos and Piercings

John B. Marine | 8:31 PM | | | | | Be the first to comment!
Tattoos and/or piercings are as much a form of artistic expression as any clothing we wear. Getting tattoos (or getting inked, tatted up, or whatever means "getting a tattoo" to you) can offer character and toughness, and the same can be said for those who get piercings. Both items provide their own boosts in personality and character. Having one or both tattoos and piercings can be cool if done right; disgusting/freaky if done wrong. Both tattoos and piercings are on parade for this blog post.

This "StyleSpace by JBM" blog post takes a look at both tattoos and piercings. There are a lot of people whom have tattoos and/or piercings, so I will need to be careful choosing some of my words to avoid saying something that may not sit well with some people.

--- Tattoos and Piercings ---

I'm not necessarily crazy about either tattoos or piercings. I do want to share this topic to my audience because I want to give more content for people to share and discuss. I will try to be as neutral as possible for this post.

Tattoos in General.

Here is some video insight on tattoos featuring one very popular tattoo artist:

^ "Kat Von D Talks Tattoos"

Males and females usually have a number of tattoos on their body. The most usual locations are usually on the arms, on the chest, or on the back. Some of the most hardcore types usually get insane-looking tattoos covering their arms or even their back. Most females usually have tattoos either on their back, lower back, and even on their bellies. Rihanna recently had a very daring tattoo design of Isis across her lower chest. This tattoo of hers was to honor her grandmother, who died from cancer. About the most famous tattoos I am familiar with are the ever famous "tramp stamps" put on the lower backs of females.

There are also temporary tattoos that are easy to wash off. They allow you to enjoy the appeal of having a tattoo while not having to worry about damaging your skin or anything. Some of these adhesive tattoos are simple to apply and can be washed off with water or something afterwards.

For those who want to get rid of tattoos, there are a number of products and services to remove tattoos. Some models who have tattoos they don't want removed may arrange to have some of their tattoos covered up for certain assignments and features.

Tattoos and tattoo art are their own industry. There is even a magazine devoted to tattoos and tattoo artists called TATTOO Magazine (Facebook Fan Page). There is a reality TV series on Spike TV called "Ink Master." Most tattoo artists usually come up with all sorts of designs. I am mostly impressed at the time and effort tattoo artists put into designing certain tattoos on certain people.

No matter who you are, a tattoo is an artistic expression you choose to wear on your body permanently. The reasons why you choose to want to get tattoos all depend on you.

Piercings in General.

It used to be that piercings would mostly be on the ear lobes or even on the navel. Some even may add extra piercings to the ears. These are the most common places to see piercings as well as the most acceptable places. Some people take piercings to the next level. Rather than just on the ears or as navel piercings, there are piercings in various other places, including (but not limited to):

• tongue piercings
• nose piercings
• lip piercings
• cheek piercings

and yes, even...
• nipple piercings

From my popular "Exposing Midriff" blog post, I actually don't have a problem with navel piercings. Some piercings really freak me out in certain other places. Some piercings themselves are absolutely freaky to me. Sometimes, I can't bring myself to look at certain people because of a certain piercing on a certain part of their body. Almost like I get freaked out seeing someone who has a piercing in a certain place or several places. I sometimes feel that way seeing certain guests on daytime talk shows. I would even fear if I came across someone who had a piercing below the lower lip, especially if I were to kiss that person on the lips (not that I've ever kissed someone). Either that or some other lip piercing. I have provided this video to provide video insight on piercings as far as piercing placement is concerned:

Whether or not you want to get a piercing of your own is up to you. Do you want to express yourself with body jewelry such as piercings? Parental permission is required for young males and young females to get piercings. The usual limit is 18 or older to have a piercing unless you get permission.

So there is your piercing influence.

Tattoos and piercings are body art helping enhance one's ability to express himself/herself. Here is one more video showcasing one person and her tattoos and piercings. Let me give you some advice- don't listen so much about the tattoos and piercings, but WHY she got the certain tattoos and piercings:

^ "Tattoos and Piercings!"

Let's move on to the next section!

--- Do Tattoos and Piercings Say Anything About People? ---

Some people get tattoos and piercings to boost their character and appeal to others. Some get tattoos and piercings to honor or remember something- like the death of a loved one or unconditional love of someone/something. People may get tattoos and piercings in unusual places to express themselves as well as distance themselves apart from others. No matter what, tattoos and/or piercings say a lot about the people who have them. While there are some who get these items for whatever reason, some others may feel there are these kinds of people who get tattoos or piercings...

The Poser/Poseur and Hipster Influence.

Some people think tattoos and piercings go on people who aren't hard enough to sport tattoos. This especially applies to whom people consider others as being fake tough. You know- having tattoos and/or piercings just to try to fit in with tough crowds. I mentioned tattoos and piercings as being boosts in character and personality, and some feel that tattoos and piercings don't automatically make you hard or tough- you have to BE hard or tough to some people.

What do you think tattoos and piercings say about others?

--- Tattoos and Piercings: Online Insight ---

I could name almost any blogger who has some kind of tattoo and/or piercing. However, I'll just go with what I know. Each blog post I feature in this section has either tattoo(s) or piercing(s) in the picture. The focus is on tattoos and piercings, not the individual outfits. Some of these may be posts I've linked to in the past. Here are some blogging samples:

• "everyday should be a sunday" (Curves Ahead) « tattoos on shoulder.
• "Spring Leather" (Style Cassentials) « lower leg/ankle tattoos.
• "tattoos" (keiko lynn) « side tattoo on Keiko Lynn.
• "7th and last day at the beach. (and baby sea turtles!)" (tiny sailor) « tattoos and a navel piercing.
• "Introducing: The Girl with the Dandelion Tattoo" (Lucy and the Runaways) « a tattoo on one side of her neck, designed by herself.
• "OOTD Black Roses and Bunnies" (Sugar and Spice) « a simple nose piercing.

These are among many of the bloggers I'm aware of that have tattoos and/or piercings.

--- Tattoos and Piercings: Final Thoughts ---

I'll separate my thoughts on tattoos and piercings respectively as part of my Final Thoughts on each.

While I don't mind tattoos, I am not overly crazy about tattoos. Speaking as someone who loves art, there is nothing wrong with having tattoos. People have their reasons for getting them. Some people express themselves with a tattoo or with several tattoos. Whether you have a single tattoo or have as many tattoos as NBA basketball player Chris "Birdman" Andersen, each tattoo is an extension of your personality and the overall message you send about yourself and your style. So feel free to express yourself any way you please with your tattoos.

Piercings are another bold option for those looking to express themselves. The variety of piercing types and piercing locations vastly vary. I personally only prefer piercings on ear lobes or on the navel. Most other piercing locations freak me out, and especially those who have piercings on multiple parts of the body. The most important thing about piercings is expression. How you choose to express yourself is your call and yours alone. I am not here to tell anyone how to dress or express themselves.

I personally prefer not to have tattoos or piercings on myself, but that's just my own preference. While I may not have a preference towards having tattoos and/or piercings, I would not prefer being with someone only on tattoos and/or piercings. "StyleSpace by JBM" was created as my own fashion/style blog that celebrates on and focuses on various elements of style and being stylish. It makes me no less of a person just because I don't have an affinity of tattoos and/or piercings as most other people do. I don't feel I have to win others' respect just by having tattoos and/or piercings.

By all means- go get yourself some tattoos if you choose to have some. Get piercings if you choose to have some on your body. Don't let me or this blog post stop you from wanting tattoos, piercings, or both if you were somehow convinced not to get either or both. The choice is yours.

I hope this post about tattoos and piercings was to your liking. What do you think about these tattoos and piercings? Send some comments to this blog post. I may do a similar post for "John's Blog Space," my main blog. For now, thank you for reading! Come back to "StyleSpace by JBM" any time!

Bangles and Bracelets

John B. Marine | 9:04 PM | | | 1 Comment so far
You have the right to bear arms! Baring your arms for warmer weather, of course! One of the best ways to dress up the arms is with bracelets. But if you want something a bit more interesting, try bangles! You can wear a few of them, or wear a lot of them. They are great for dressing the arms on warmer days. This blog post is dedicated to the females out there who'll proudly sport some bangles or bracelets around their wrists.

I intended on discussing only bangles, but I want to offer bracelets into my discussion as well.

This blog post was originally posted on "John's Blog Space" on March 11, 2010. It has since been modified for "StyleSpace" with new content and updated thoughts/commentary.

About the Label: "Jewelry"

Blog posts under the "Jewelry" label have elements relating to or featuring jewelry. These include basic accessories as well as metallic jewelry.

--- Bangles and Bracelets at a Glance ---

Bangles are essentially bracelets, only that so many of them can be worn at a time to dress up the wrists. As I've learned by looking around on the Internet, the big difference between bangles and bracelets is that bracelets are flexible, while bangles are not. Bangles are perfectly circular. Let's see a few examples of both bangles and bracelets. Here are some pictures for you all...

Bangles.

set of bangles
^ from: www.amazon.com - Here is a set of bangles. They don't have to be expensive or fancy to be stylish.

mixed bangles
^ from: www.shopbop.com - Mixed bangles can be just as expressive as any average set of bangles.

When wearing bangles, a few of them or a lot of them can be worn at once. One will mostly see at least five bangles being worn around the wrist of some females who wear bangles. Bangles are normally lightweight and are usually either metallic or plastic.

Bracelets.

Bracelets don't have to be the of the expensive variety. You have your share of plastic bracelets that can still be very fun to wear. To prove the point:

wristband bracelets
^ from: www.amazon.com - Very casual wristband bracelet. You may even have some of these yourself.

friendship bracelet
^ from: www.amazon.com - Several friendship bracelets around one's arm. Friendship bracelets can be fun to wear and even fun to share.

bracelets
^ from: www.nordstrom.com - Bracelets can be either classy or casual.

tennis bracelet women
^ from: www.amazon.com - Here is a beautiful tennis bracelet for stylish ladies. I'm sure most of my female audience is probably doing the nudge to their boyfriend/fiancé/husband to get one of these as a gift. ;)

chunky bracelet
^ from: www.amazon.com - A single big bracelet can make a big style statement.

Bracelets are bolder and more expressive than a set of bangles. One or more bracelets can be worn to make as much of a statement as possible. They are as great for dressing your wrists with as with any set of bangles.

No matter what, both bangles and bracelets are charming and expressive to wear around your wrists. So go ahead and find some bangles to dress up your wrists!

--- What to Wear These With? ---

Since we are talking about bangles and bracelets, this is obviously meant for warm weather times or warm days. Bangles and bracelets can mostly be worn with almost anything and with almost any outfit. Bangles are very much for casual outfits. If you want to glam things up, try wearing a lovely bracelet or several bracelets.

--- Bangles and Bracelets Around the Blogosphere ---

The following blog posts feature bloggers wearing either bangles or bracelets. The only criteria is that the featured bloggers are actually wearing the items and not just showing them off. Please contact me via E-Mail or Facebook if you think I should view one of your looks relevant to the topics of my posts. Since these are mostly old posts, Subscribe and Follow their blogs to see their latest posts.

Remember that I am featuring these posts only for bangles and/or bracelets worn by the bloggers in question.

--- Final Thoughts on Bangles and Bracelets ---

Bangles and bracelets offer immense levels of chic for both casual and even classy outfits. Never be afraid to give your wrists some "wrist candy" by dressing them up with bangles or a stylish bracelet. The right kind(s) of bangles and/or bracelets will add extra levels of appeal to your outfits. Be sure to experiment on how to jazz up your outfits by going with a nice pair of bangles or bracelets to go with your outfit. Never be afraid to experiment to your heart's delight.
