Ballet Flats

John B. Marine | 9:58 PM | | |
(UPDATED: September 4, 2017)

Ballet flats are cute and comfortable. Even if you never partake in ballet, you can still enjoy wearing these shoes performing to your own Swan Lake. These simple shoes are great for casual days or even as office-appropriate shoes. Their style makes them so wearable for day-to-day wear. Ballet flats are a style of shoe that remains lovely to wear regardless of their style. This blog post focuses on ballet flats.

Ballet Flats

Here is a pair of ballet flats to start this post off:

ballet flats
^ from: www.amazon.com - A pair of ballet flats are simple and stylish. These ballet flats are from L.A.M.B..

Who doesn't love something so simple and chic? Ballet flats provide this style of chic and more. The simple slip-on comfort and style of ballet flats make them comfortable and fun to wear. In fact, I would even say that ballet flats are a great shoe alternative to flip-flop/thong sandals. They can be every bit as inexpensive and stylish as flip-flop/thong sandals. Some ballet flats are foldable, making them every bit as functional to carry around comfortably. Not even a pair of flip-flop/thong sandals are that adaptable.

If you love heeled shoes but prefer something more practical, then certainly don't overlook ballet flats. They are just as girly and as cute as most of your other outfits. Any number of outfits can be worn with ballet flats. My only recommendation would be to not pair ballet flats with any night-out fashions. As mentioned before, some ballet flats are acceptable enough to be worn either as shoes in office environments (including school) or even as shoes to walk in when you're tired of going about in heels. The fact that ballet flats are so basic in design and in style make them every bit wearable and chic for various outfits. You could simply wear these to go with a basic T-shirt and jeans look. Most ballet flats are so basic in design that it doesn't take very much to make any almost outfit great with ballet flats.

Not all ballet flats are inexpensive. I once saw a pair of Christian Louboutin flats sell for over $500 US dollars (it's Louboutin- go fig)! Not all ballet flats . In fact, there are some very classy ballet flats from some quality designers. One of those high quality designers that make a fancy pair of ballet flats is Tory Burch. My blogging friend, Yi-chia of "Always Maylee," sometimes wear a pair of Tory Burch flats in some of her posts. Here is an example of one of those posts with a pair of Tory Burch flats:

"Blue and Green" (Always Maylee) « Tory Burch ballet flats

Just know that not all flats are inexpensive after looking at this featured post. Tory Burch and Kenneth Cole REACTION are two designer examples who make higher-end, more expensive ballet flats.

What to Wear With Ballet Flats?

Ballet flats are mostly wearable with casual outfits and some workplace outfits. Ballet flats can be wearable with school uniforms for you school students. One specific look I've enjoyed seeing flats with is wearing flats is when you pair ballet flats with a tunic and leggings. Daytime dresses and skirts are also fair game with ballet flats. There are a number of options for you both casual and dressy. The only thing I'd go against is perhaps going with certain night-out fashions.

Ballet Flats: Final Thoughts

Proudly wear your ballet flats. These are some shoes that are just slip-on stylish. They are practical and comfortable. The only reasons not to get ballet flats (to me) are either if you don't like them or if you don't think you feel hot wearing flat shoes. I am not saying for every female to get a pair of ballet flats, but these are not shoes to pass up. Their loveliness is vastly stated. What ballet flats may lack in sex appeal, they make up for with an overall comfortable and sleek pair of shoes.

It doesn't matter if they have a cute little bow at the front, some big details at the vamp, ankle straps, or whatever- ballet flats are every bit stylish and charming for a number of reasons. You don't even have to love ballet to love ballet flats. So let me say this again- proudly wear your ballet flats if you love wearing them!
