By the way, I will not use the official name of my project in this blog post. So it will be referred to here as "Quick Takes." "Quick Takes" is just the project name; not the official name.
"Quick Takes" Project
The reason why I created "StyleSpace by JBM" was to discuss fashion and beauty in a blog. I do not have the proper knowledge to expertly discuss fashion. I basically created the blog to offer my own fashion/beauty commentary in my own way. I felt the need to discuss things professionally and detailed. For as long as I have blogged about fashion even before the proliferation of "StyleSpace by JBM," I wanted to offer my own commentary on fashion and beauty.
If "StyleSpace by JBM" is my primary fashion/beauty discussion outlet, why am I creating another outlet? To me, I feel the need to discuss fashion/beauty in my own way to give some brief thoughts on certain fashion topics. I want to provide a more brief look at fashion. You can always read my blog posts for my own thoughts about fashion topics and various trends. However, what if you wanted to know what I think about certain items like maxi dresses or over-knee boots? I can always do a blog post offering a detailed discussion on each item. Or, I can provide some quick ideas so you can get a general idea of what I think about each item.
It takes time to develop each thought of mine regarding any topic. I usually make sure to properly study and research each topic unless I make something just for fun. I put that kind of pressure on myself because I know how I want to express myself and my thoughts. Providing some brief thoughts on certain items in a separate setting helps to provide fashion fans with unique viewpoints of mine.
What I Hope to Accomplish.
What I hope to accomplish with these quick takes on fashion/beauty is to provide my own thoughts on fashion and beauty in a simple digest. None of my quick takes will be any overly impressive and detailed posts. They will instead be quick ways of expressing my thoughts on various fashion topics. In addition, whether you agree or disagree with my points, I also want to treat certain topics with respect to where you can get more involved with my ideas through shopping for certain things. I honestly need to find more ways to try to generate some kind of financial income outside of my usual blogging. I want to give but also give back. I feel this Quick Takes project is one way to make that happen.How Will This Work?
I begin by providing as many different fashion topics in alphabetical order. It will begin with as many fashion topics I can think of through the English alphabet. That means any sort of fashion topic I can think of from "A" to "Z" and maybe some numbers if I can think of any. While the topics may be varied, none of them will be about a specific designer or any specific companies. So for example, I won't blog about fashions offered by Aeropostale or Converse sneakers specifically. Most of these quick fashion takes mostly consist of specific styles and items. When the visitor looks at a certain quick take I make about a fashion topic, that visitor will be met with a description of that topic followed by my thoughts on that topic. Other material, such as shopping resources and other reading will be made available to help enhance the experience more.As of now, I have made general prototypes on how I want to structure all of my content. I have begun using software like BlueGriffon to build the basic HTML files. What has NOT happened yet is how I plan to put it all together to make the dream sort of site come to fruition. Because there are so many topics (more than over 400 individual topics!), it may take a month or longer to compile material on all of the topics I have selected and comment on. I may upload material on an interval process. So I might make incremental uploads of my completed content when I complete my posts for one letter of the alphabet and then keep going until I compiled all of the content to complete my project and my feature page. All of the topics in alphabetical order will all be provided, but none of it will be complete until all of my content is properly complete and uploaded. So you may look for my fashion topics that may start with the letter "L," but nothing will be there until the project is complete and that all files and commentary have been made.
