Elbow Patches

If a top or outerwear piece has elbow patches, it is a chance for your elbows to get some fashionable attention. These patches often appear on sweaters, long-sleeve shirts, and even on jackets. The patches can be basic or artsy. No matter what, there is a good way to give your elbows some attention with these tops and outerwear. But what do I think about them? Here's another "Love or Loathe?" blog post of mine...

--- Love or Loathe: Elbow Patches ---

So what is an example of elbow patches? Here is a picture example:

^ from: www.amazon.com - This sweater is an example of a garment with elbow patches. Note the heart detail on the elbows.

And here is a blogging example:

"Denim Week: Heart on my Sleeve" (Style Cassentials) « heart elbow patches on a cardigan.

(NOTE: I actually tried to find more examples, but I couldn't find too many other examples.)

Really, I dislike elbow patches. They aren't ugly or anything... they just look tacky and cheap to me. Almost as tacky as some lip prints from a previous blog post I did. I've never been excited for elbow patch designs or garments with specific designs on the elbows. Elbow patch garments aren't exclusively feminine. In fact, there are elbow patch garments for males as well.
