Thigh-High Socks

Thigh-high socks are a worthy alternative to tights. They nicely are complimented by shoes and boots. They can be stylish to wear for when you want to wear certain shoes on a cold day. These tall socks can be stylish either with casual outfits or some classy outfits. Sometimes for cold days, some may wear warm thigh-high socks over tights for extra warmth. Such socks can be opaque or sheer, solid or with patterns, thin or thick.

This is a brief blog post regarding thigh-high socks. I initially had it about tall socks in general, but I decided to specify thigh-high socks because it made up the majority of the tall socks I wanted to mention.

--- Thigh-High Sock Examples ---

Here are some examples of these tall socks being worn:

cable knit thigh high socks
^ from: www.amazon.com - Cable-knit socks offer immense warmth during cold days.

striped tall socks
^ from: www.amazon.com - Some thigh-high socks have patterns or other designs.

Blogging Examples.

Here are some bloggers that have worn tall socks. Don't expect too many since I wanted this to be a brief blog post:

"Skater Skirt & Thigh-High Socks" (The Haute Blonde) « tall socks with a skirt outfit.
"Oxford Vintage" (A Flower Child) « tall socks with a dress outfit.
"Haunted Hearts" (A Flower Child) « tall socks with lace at the top of the socks.

--- Thigh-High Socks: Final Thoughts ---

I personally have no problem with tall socks. They can look very nice on fashionable females. You can wear tall socks (especially warm ones) on cold days. I think a pair of tall socks with some sweet-looking pumps or shoes can look great. Try some warm tall socks to go with a stylish pair of pumps or booties.

That's so funny because I was just thinking about trying the trend! I've noticed the knee-high socks all over fashion blogs lately and think they add a cute school-girl look. Not to mention they keep your legs warm! Thanks for the reference posts--I loved reading the Flower Child blog. Have a great Thanksgiving!

I'm not a huge fan of this trend for myself, but I love it for other people, especially with knee-high boots.

I remember this trend from the 90s when "Clueless" was popular, so I feel a little too old for it now!

Thanks for the shout-out! I think that it has become easier to make such casual pieces chic because the current trendy versions have more flattering fits and are created in fun mixed fabrics or have clever or interesting words. This trend took a while for me to accept, but I really like it!

I've only done one sweatpants look on the blog ( ), but I've
