Favorite posts from fashion bloggers I follow will be featured in this blog post. Following so many different blogs has given me the chance to note favorite posts. I will try to show some love to various fashion bloggers with this post. This is a favorites blog post, so recent or old doesn't matter as far as which outfits I select to represent each featured blogger. The main point is to showcase favorite looks of mine from blogs I follow. I hope you get to enjoy what I've selected here.

I want to say hello to all bloggers whom I may make mention to here. While this is a favorites post of mine, some posts may have had pictures deleted, or I may not have been able to access certain blogs. So I have to say this is a rather incomplete post regarding some of my favorite posts from some of the many fashion bloggers I follow.

Some outfits and posts are among some of my favorites of theirs. This blog post highlights on some of my favorites from various bloggers. Here is my chance to pay respect to various bloggers while also talking about some of my favorite looks of theirs. You may see one post or more than one post from each featured blogger. I get the chance to pay respect to these bloggers by talking about some of my favorite outfits of theirs.

• Principessa Gabriella
I will begin with my blogging friend, Gabriella of "Principessa Gabriella." Many of her outfit posts are mostly one post featuring multiple outfits. This one I selected showcases this Pennsylvanian princess beauty very well with a nice outfit. This outfit post is one of my favorites of this lovely lady:

• KARLA'S CLOSET
Karla Deras is the creator of one of the most popular fashion blogs online- KARLA'S CLOSET. She's been blogging for quite some time and featured a whole lot of looks. I slowly began to admire her style in my early times on Blogger/Blogspot. Today, I admire her loveliness with her short, messy curly hair. This post is one of my favorite outfits of hers:

• Little Petite
The California loving continues as I feature Arizona-based Californian Adriana. This petite boasts a beautiful smile and gorgeous hair. One of my favorite posts of hers can be seen here:

• tiny sailor
Most memorable to me regarding Niki of "tiny sailor" was a post where she wore an old prom dress she modified herself. What gets me even to this day is the pair of shoes she paired the dress with. The end result was an outfit surprisingly stylish to me.

• Curvy Girl Chic
Allison is the beautiful lady behind "Curvy Girl Chic." As the name of the blog suggests, Allison is a curvy girl. This curvy Asian girl has one of the cutest smiles and one of the cutest faces of any fashion blogger I follow. I would have to say this is one of my favorite looks Allison has ever posted in her blog:

• Curves Ahead
You know you're pretty sweet if you're named Candy. Candy is not only her name, but how sweet she and her style are. She is the founder of the "Fancy Steps" clothing line. Following her blog for some time, here are a few favorite outfits of mine from the Californian:

• Style 4 Curves
I don't know too many people from Mississippi. I do know one thing, though- Venessia of "Style 4 Curves" is a lovely lady. This outfit is among one of my favorites of this fashionista:

• Burst of Color
When Lily adds to her positive and colorful "Burst of Color" blog, she showcases some colorful and expressive looks. She is one of the most positive and upbeat persons in all of blogging. So allow me to showcase a bit of her style here on "StyleSpace by JBM." I chose one of her outfits as one of my favorites of hers. This post I will showcase from Lily is one of my favorites:
Lace and Leather (Burst of Color)

• indie.electronic.alternative.
From the cuteness of Lily to the wildness of Danielle, it's time to check out "indie.electronic.alternative." This is one of my favorite looks of hers. Let's say she channels her groovy side while also baring her amazing-looking body:

• keiko lynn
The stylish Keiko Lynn does not give into trends. She defines her own style in her own unique way. She has her own fashion line called Postlapsaria. This look I selected is a favorite of mine which shares some of her unique style as well as her love of animals:

• Maytedoll
Meet Mayte. This lady is vastly inspired by the Kardashian sisters for fashion. In fact, she was even featured online from the Kardashian sisters. Here are a few favorites of mine from this beautiful lady:

• Sydney's Fashion Diary
I respect Sydney for her keep it real style. Formerly "PetiteLittleGirl," this lovely lady showcases unique and charming style. Here are some posts I selected as one of my favorites of hers:

• Stylish Petite
Annie of "Stylish Petite" is a gorgeous lady. Her outfit posts encompass both professional and casual fashions. The style this Vietnamese beauty possesses is much greater than her 5'0" size. I chose two outfits as favorites. Though she is mostly a skirt and dress girl, I also found a non-skirt or non-dress outfit that I think looks great. Allow me to showcase Annie's allure here:

• I am Khatu
Khatu is 4'11", but that doesn't stop this Vietnamese beauty from wearing beautiful outfits. I chose this casual type outfit as one of my favorites of hers. A coat and some flared white jeans can equal a stylish look. See for yourself:

• Always Maylee
The "maylee" (Mandarin for "beautiful") beauty behind "Always Maylee" is Yi-Chia. Her looks are mostly casual and almost always include something with polka dots, stripes, or any combination of the two. I chose this outfit as one of my favorites of hers. Even though polka dots and/or stripes are her go-to details, this one is a bit different. So have a look and see just how "maylee" Yi-Chia is:

• cute and little (Honorable Mention!)
Though no longer blogging, Dallas girl Kileen (pronounced "kai-leen") is a petite lady with very nice style. She's very creative. Kileen is usually known for her "Color Brigade" posts, whereas she showcases certain looks focused entirely on colors. Here are two different looks showcasing this Taiwanese petite and her range of style:

• She Said He Said
One of my most recent favorite blogs is "She Said He Said." Most of the posts regard the looks of the beautiful Chelsea. What makes the blog unique with outfit posts is how Chelsea and her boyfriend feel about certain shared looks. For example, Chelsea (the "she," obviously) talks about her outfit, and then her boyfriend shares his own views on her outfit. This blog post here on "StyleSpace by JBM" is about outfits, so these are a few of my favorites of her looks:

• Sara's Sweet Style
Hailing from San Diego, CA, USA; Sara is a very lovely blogger. She has an angelic face and some lovely hair. Her style is very diverse. Allow me to share you this post of this beautiful lady named Sarah:

• Style Cassentials
Recently, I've encountered Cassandra and her blog, "Style Cassentials." In an update to my "Sweet Petite!" blog post here on StyleSpace by JBM, Cassandra is a beautiful petite woman from the Midwest. I've chosen this as one of my favorite looks of hers since first discovering this blog:

• Nany's Klozet
Daniela (or "Nany") is really one of the most fashionable and beautiful ladies in the blogosphere. This Venezuelan presents herself with her beautiful smile, lovely hair, and very diverse style. One of my favorite outfits of hers is featured with the link below:

• Cupcake's Clothes
Georgina's style can be defined as cute and sometimes whimsical. This plus-sized British beauty really has fun with fashion and almost never fails providing eye-catching and warm outfits. I'd say she's the most imaginative and lighthearted when it comes to fashion. This post is an example of her cute style:

• Fashion by Ania and Klaudia
Ania can show her style casually or in lovely dresses. This post I selected is an example of her loveliness. She blew me away when I first saw this on LOOKBOOK:

• Kolorowa Dusza
I've encountered many Polish fashion bloggers when I joined LOOKBOOK. One of them is Gabriela of "Kolorowa Dusza." Her looks are angelic from her long hair, to her sparkly eyes, to her sweet smile. If you have never seen her looks or her blogs, I think you are in for a treat. I had a hard time choosing which post to feature among her many lovely posts. So here is one post showcasing just how beautiful Gabriela is:

• Glam and Fab Chameleon
Jelena of "Glam and Fab Chameleon" is a fashion blogger whom has beautiful style. Unlike a lot of other fashion bloggers, most of Greek-based Serbian's outfits are more about color than specific pieces featured. She's had a number of great outfits since I first followed her blog. Here are some of my favorite posts of hers:

• My Silk Fairytale
I've followed "My Silk Fairytale" for a long while. Alina is a beautiful lady from Romania. She has one of the most diverse array of styles of any fashion blogger I follow. Alina has styles ranging from edgy, to tough, to girly, to chic, to casual, to classy... she is someone comfortable wearing a gorgeously chic outfit as much as she is in shorts and sneakers. Alina could wear something chic in one outfit, then go with something that has studs or skulls. She's absolutely diverse. I chose this one as one of my favorites of Alina:

• My Blonde Gal
Olga is a beautiful lady with a great sense of style. This sweet-faced beauty from Russia has beautiful style, and I came to appreciate her style by seeing her LOOKBOOK page. One of the first looks of hers I admired was a beautiful blue outfit she put together. Two more outfits included two beautiful dresses. Here are samples of her beauty:

Laiqah (better known as "Lucky") is a lovely fashion blogger from South Africa. She has such a cute face and cute hair.

• Aibina's Blog
I didn't know Central Asia has beautiful ladies. One of those beauties is Aibina of "Aibina's Blog." Aibina is from the Central Asian nation of Kazakhstan. This Kazakh lady has style that is either playful, stylish, or casual. What you will see is some of my favorite outfits of hers:

Cool name for a blog, huh? The creator of this blog is also very cool. Sushmita was one of the first Indian fashion bloggers I've come across. I found this post to be one of my favorite looks of her. Take a look:

Her blog is fairly new. However, this Japanese blogger is a lovely lady named Saori. I want to salute her as one of my most recent blogging friends. So check her out here:

• Wait Until the Sunset
This blogger named Olivia is from Australia. This plus-size Aussie has some cute style that she showcases in her blog. One of those looks can be seen here:

• Camille Tries to Blog (non Blogger/Blogspot)
After seeing her on LOOKBOOK, Camille is a beautiful Chinese lady from the Philippines. Her outfits range from casual to classy. I'd say the one I chose to feature her is in the "sexy" category. Here is one of my favorite looks from the beautiful Camille. And I got to warn you- this one is hot:

• Lynne Gabriel (non-Blogger/Blogspot)
When I was first introduced to Lynne Gabriel via Twitter, I became interested in her blog. She has so many lovely looks that it's hard to pick just one. Needless to say, she is one of the most beautiful bloggers online. You may agree with me after you see this post I chose to represent this beautiful Filipino beauty:

--- Final Thoughts ---

I have always admired and celebrated having an international presence. I feel that when you meet people from around the world whom follow a similar trade or interest, you begin to feel part of a culture bigger than that interest or trade. You may often times see some of the same people comment on blogs, LOOKBOOK posts, and other forms of fashion media online. Does it mean that we live in a small fashion world? No- it just means we are all part of a worldwide network where we all share the same interest of fashion. No matter where your specific fashion interests lie, one thing is for certain- you love fashion and have a certain love of fashion. Do not be afraid to go out and meet other people who share the same love and interest of anything you are highly interested in. Especially with the bloggers I made mention to, it is even more assuring knowing that there are people (literally) worldwide who also love the same things you do. I always try to infuse a worldwide presence with everything I feature.

Just because there are certain blogs I didn't feature does not mean I dislike certain blogs. I just posted certain favorite posts from some of the many different blogs I follow. And yes- my commentary of certain blogs I mentioned are completely honest.

Dress Appreciation

Some females know a beautiful dress when they see and wear one. Dresses can be both charming and alluring to those who wear them. Airy dresses can be comfortable to wear in embracing warm weather. Glamourous dresses can make any female feel like a princess or a queen. Slim dresses provide sexy appeal to those who wear them. Various casual dresses can help to make one feel comfortable and beautiful. Dresses mean many things style-wise to many females. Not every female can properly wear or enjoy wearing dresses. For those who can certainly wear and enjoy them, there's no better feeling than wearing a dress.

This blog post is a celebration of and appreciation of dresses. Welcome to my fashion blog- "StyleSpace, by John B. Marine." It is a non-traditional fashion blog that is about anything and everything fashion related. It even includes non-traditional topics, such as this post showing appreciation for dresses.

--- Why I Love Dresses ---

Those of you who love dresses and/or love wearing dresses may enjoy this post. To talk about dresses, we need to show some dresses, right? So here goes:

Whether casual or formal, nothing evokes the beauty of a female like a dress. I especially enjoy seeing sundresses in warm weather times. I have enjoyed seeing maxi dresses being worn as well. The primary reason why I love seeing dresses being worn is because I've actually gotten a bit tired of denim mini skirts mostly being worn. Not that I have a problem with them; it is just that I've missed seeing dresses being worn. Most of what I have seen were mostly denim mini skirts. On the formal side, formal dresses and various party dresses exude immense feminine charm. Dresses for occasions can be beautiful ranging from certain birthday parties to weddings. As much as I believe every male should have at least one stylish formal outfit or suit, I think every female should have at least one dress. Or if you believe in casual and formal, then every female should have at least two dresses- at least one dress for casual and at least one dress for formal occasions.

Some of the most elegant dresses beautifully fit to and express the curves of a lady. Such dresses can offer hints and touches of absolute charm to whomever wears these dresses. However, there are some dresses that better suit certain figures who can't properly wear any super-stylish dresses. I actually believe there is a perfect dress for every female of any body type or height. You can be a petite woman and have a dress that beautifully accentuates your body and your height. You can be a curvy woman and wear Any dress that allows one to look and feel comfortable and beautiful is one worth taking off the rack and wearing on your body. They are as much of a fashion staple as a pair of jeans.

Sundresses.

Sundresses can be worn with any number of casual footwear. More dressy kinds can be paired with some formal-type footwear. Be really casual and go with a pair of flip-flop/thong sandals or maybe a pair of high-top Converses. For the girl who wants to be tough; while I don't recommend wearing them with a sundress, the tough girl can easily trade dainty shoes with a pair of combat boots or some other tough boots. Speaking of boots, riding boots and cowboy boots are also good choices of footwear with sundresses.

Shirtdresses.

A shirtdress is mostly casual. It offers the comfort and appeal of both a shirt and a dress. Shirtdresses can range from really casual to chic. A lot of them are comfortable enough to wear with almost any kind of footwear. Casual shirtdresses can be paired with fashion sneakers, pumps, sandals, boots, or any number of casual shoes. More chic shirtdresses can be paired with equally chic pumps, chic sandals, or a chic pair of boots. I would often times see these dresses be given belts around the waist to help accentuate the waist.

Maxi Dresses.

It used to be that minis were the way to go. But once maxi dresses started becoming popular in the mid-2000s, it was great to see that long dresses weren't dead in the casual realm. Two of the primary criticisms of maxi dresses is that they either fail to flatter the body, or the fact that the wrong kind of maxi dress will overwhelm petite figures. Maxi dresses are very elegant even for casual wear. Some maxi dresses can be so versatile that daytime footwear can be traded for nighttime footwear while wearing them. I love seeing these being worn. They are usually worn with casual sandals from when I see others wear these. A pair of wedge espadrilles or wedge pumps would work nicely with maxi dresses as well. While you don't see them worn often with these, casual sneakers also work well with maxi dresses. Platforms or flats are fair game with maxi dresses.

Mini Dresses.

A lot of short dresses were meant for the nightlife. No question that mini dresses beg for a hot pair of shoes to be worn with them. NO FLATS- a pair of high-heel shoes or platform high heels will do when it comes to mini dresses. A mini dress offers seductive appeal to those who wear them. These short dresses are often paired with a foxy pair of pumps or sandals.

Party Dresses (including Cocktail Dresses).

When you're ready for the nightlife and ready to be in a pretty dress, party dresses are the way to go. The lovely kinds offer that princess-like vibe to feel great as you're enjoying the night. Many of these dresses have some sort of sparkly or shiny appearance. Everything evens out perfectly- you go out to wear a fun dress on a night when fun is the name of the game. So enjoy the party dress!

Formal Dresses.

This is a vague category, so I will not show a picture to show what I'm discussing here.

From parties to weddings, a number of formal dresses can be worn to any number of semi-formal or formal occasions. One wants to feel comfortable and charming in a dress going to certain semi-formal and formal occasions.

--- Dress Appreciation: Final Thoughts ---

What you should take away from this blog post is that there is nothing quite like a dress. Their fluidity and charm make them uniquely stylish. Not all dresses are immensely beautiful or purely feminine. While I do tend to think almost every female should have at least one dress, it is also important to note there is at least one dress that will compliment almost any and almost all figures. Even if you don't enjoy dresses or enjoy having to wear a dress, at least appreciate their beauty and their charm. From casual wear to formal wear, and from form-fitting to airy, dresses are wonderful garments for females of all ages and sizes to wear.

Infamous Dresses

Every girl dreams of having a dream dress to own and wear. Some dresses are incredibly unique and stylish to wear and really reflects the personality of its wearer. Some others... are absolutely unique to infamous levels. I'm here to look at some of the most infamous dresses. Few of them immediately come to mind to me. If you've never seen some of the most infamous dresses of all time, you are going to be introduced to some of the ones that immediately come to mind for me. So get ready to go on a ride involving some of the most infamous dresses ever made and worn!

What wearing a fancy dress does for a woman is for her personality and style to shine at formal functions. The right kind of formal dress will make her feel beautiful as well as look and feel gorgeous. Such dresses evoke a level of charm and importance as well as being able to properly separate herself from the others. The wrong kind of dress, however will make someone want to burn that dress to the ground and want her stylist (if there is one) fired. Among the many hits and misses of dresses are those that are famous... for the wrong reasons. These are dresses you will remember the most not for being the most beautiful and lavish, but because they are... well, infamous. Sometimes scandalous. Whatever the case, these are some of the most infamous dresses ever created. I can feature only so many that come to mind for me.

What are some of the most unique, unusual, freaking weird dresses ever created? This blog post features some of many unique dresses. These are at least the ones that come to mind for me when discussing some of the most infamous dresses ever created and worn.

The American Express Gold Card Dress.

One dress I immediately think of is the American Express Gold card Dress worn by Lizzy Gardiner in March 27, 1995. Credit cards are often the last thing you want to base an entire outfit on. I've heard of fashion challenges where people made dresses and other garments out of certain unusual an uncommon items. Just be sure you don't have to use one of those cards in case you need some extra money on hand.

The "Jungle Dress."

It was green, had loads of cleavage, and was worn by Jennifer Lopez at the 2000 Grammy Awards. J-Lo was wicked fierce rocking this Versace dress in February 23, 2000. This green Versace dress (also called the "Jungle Dress") had LOTS of skin showing. I am not sure what female celebrity would want to show off THIS much of her body. J-Lo, though, wasn't afraid to hit the red carpet and be photographed wearing it. It's your call- credit that she shown herself in a dress this radical, or discredit her because she wore a dress that is too revealing?

The Meat Dress.

Leave it to one Lady Gaga to wear such a unique dress. The artistic and expressive style of Lady Gaga really hit a high note when the petite (she's 5'1") pop superstar went out in a meat dress at the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. She wore this dress for a reason. Not as many people were understanding at the time when this dress was showcased for all to see. When interviewed about this infamous dress and the meaning behind it, Lady Gaga explains herself in this video interview (click on the link to view the video on YouTube if you are unable to view embedded videos):

I don't care whether you like or hate Lady Gaga, you at least have to respect her for being expressive. She's never afraid to do so.

Twitter Dress.

One of the most recent unique dresses was worn by Nicole Scherzinger. Would you love showcasing your tweets on a dress? Nicole Scherzinger sure did. Can you imagine having a baseball cap or a handbag that shows off your latest Twitter tweets? There's only one thing I'd fear if there was a Twitter dress or some sort of other thing. That would be the fear of some girl tweeting that her boyfriend is a (insert offensive term here), or if someone sent out a tweet from that girl if she somehow gets her account hijacked.

I tried to find a video to better show this dress in detail, but this was the best I could come up with. Every other possibly good video basically was just me waiting through some crappy YouTube advertisement that wouldn't completely load. So this was the best I could find to show you all the Twitter dress. I am very sorry; however, this is better than nothing. Just take a look at the details of the dress:

Marilyn Monroe's "The Seven Year Itch" Dress.

Marilyn Monroe will always be immortalized and remembered for the one infamous moment wearing her white dress. This dress from the 1955 movie "The Seven Year Itch" has her dress flying up as a New York City subway car whizzes by. I'm pretty sure if smartphones were around in the time of this movie, plenty of perverted guys would take pictures of her backside as her dress was blown up. Did you know that this dress auctioned off for $4.6M US dollars when it was sold at an auction? I think we can agree- this is the least craziest dress I've featured in this post.

This blog post showcases just the pure beauty and power of dresses. Imagine being a famous female just being remembered for wearing a certain unique dress. What speaks volumes (if anything) is what wearing a dress does for females. It makes you appreciate just how special it is to wear such a stylish dress. And in the case of such famous (and infamous) dresses, one really wonders just what someone was thinking coming up with these dresses and with various personalities wearing such unique dresses. Just like in life, fashion is often times about taking chances. The dresses worn by these famous ladies certainly encompass some serious chances being taken and certain style risks being exhibited. It takes confidence to even head out in public wearing such infamous dresses. These females know they will either be loved or loathed by fans and the media for their choice of dress with these unique dresses. Then again, aren't many of them loved and loathed anyways for their media work and all other aspects related to them?

Who will design the next dress that will have people talking? The next weird dress? The next most revealing dress? Who would wear such dresses to whatever occasions? Only time will tell. For now... enjoy some of the most talked-about dresses of all time and the ones who wore them.

Sneaker Obsession

Almost everyone has some kind of sneakers. From casual fashion to working out, sneakers are more than durable and wearable to take on various tasks. Some people even have pairs of sneakers that they value more than any other pair of shoes anyone can wear. Some prefer clean white sneakers to remain clean white. Some prefer marking up on and painting up their sneakers. For the more active types, some prefer a pair of active sneakers that are not only comfortable, but also as expressive as the ones wearing them. Some prefer laceless sneakers, because who wants to keep tying up sneakers every so often?

No matter who you are or what sneakers you may have, you know there is nothing more casual or more comfortable to wear than a pair of sneakers. You may be the sporty type who loves a good pair of Nike, Adidas, Reebok, ASICS, or whatever. You may even like a pair of sneakers from the likes of Converse. You probably adore certain kinds of sneaker trends (like hidden wedge sneakers and '80s style sporty sneakers). What do you wear these sneakers with? Almost anything. I've seen sneakers worn with anything ranging from casual clothes, to school uniforms, to active outfits, I've even seen sneakers worn with some girl in a bikini, and even certain formal and semi-formal outfits.

Some people have a sort of sneaker obsession. Almost as if there is no better kind of shoes to wear than sneakers. I basically have just one pair of sporty sneakers that I wear often when out and about. I am not obsessed in the least sense about a pair of sneakers. However, I know there are a number of people who have multiple pairs of sneakers. Some even collect sneakers and build a little collection of them. Some love a pair of sneakers, but want to wear a different pair of shoelaces with them.

What's the Point of All of This?

The main point of this blog post is that it is basically a celebration and appreciation of sneakers and the people who wear them. Proudly wear your sneakers with whatever you wish to wear them with.

Hair and Hairstyles

On "StyleSpace by JBM," I discuss fashion and beauty from my own perspective and in my own way. Part of that also includes discussing hair. Believe it or not, not many people visited or cared about "John's Blog Space" until I started talking about fashion. Its popularity increased as I discussed hair. Now here on StyleSpace, I will make this general commentary piece regarding hair. I am simply creating this blog post as a way of introducing hair discussion as part of my many topics for StyleSpace. This is not any detailed post regarding any hair or hairstyle.

Whether a full head of hair or bald (or even a shaved head), hair is great to help make a statement as well as frame our faces. What we do to our heads and our hair is merely an extension of our respective sense of style. Everything from highlights to hair accessories help to make our heads and hair look the way we want them to. In addition to having hair, even bangs can help provide a little more flavor to our faces.

Each of these talking points may have individual blog posts planned for "StyleSpace" in the future, so have a look at these and get an idea of what I may have planned for future posts here. Does your hairstyle fit any of these categories?

Hair: By Length.

Some let their hair grow out. Others take their long hair and cut it for a shorter hairstyle. The main point of this is to let your own personal style shine however you want. Cutting your hair can provide a dramatic change to your overall looks. Just ask Rihanna. Basic discussion of hair length is in this section. Do you like it short or long?

• Long Hair
I don't have too many preferences in regards to hair; but if I did, I'd prefer longer hairstyles. In my blogging career on Blogger/Blogspot, my main blog's popularity exploded when I discussed long hair. It remains my most-viewed post of all time on "John's Blog Space."

Long hair can be gorgeous as one's hair just flows beautifully and long. I often say that females have "waterfalls of long hair" in regards to having long hair, and especially if one's long hair flows beautifully. The big negative a lot of people make about long hair is that long hair can be tough to manage. Those who are able to manage and maintain their long hair often times look lovely.

By the way... I define "long hair" as hair that extends below the shoulders.

• Short Hair
Some prefer shorter hairstyles- even wrapping up long hair for shorter hairstyles. A bob hairstyle is often times one of the most popular hairstyles for females. Short hairstyles can even compliment those who prefer more boyish cuts. For those who prefer more boyish hairstyles, a girl can do no wrong by going with an edgy short hairstyle. I usually look to ladies like Victoria Beckham and Karla of the blog "KARLA'S CLOSET" for lovely short hairstyles.

Hair: By Style.

What style of hair suits you best? Here are a number of different styles in general:

• Straight Hair
Straight is sweet! Hair that just flows straight down is stylish without needing to jazz it up in an such way.

• Wavy Hair
Wavy is wonderful! I consider wavy hair to be a happy medium between straight and curly. It is when you don't want

• Curly Hair.
Curly is cute! Curly hair is very much attention-grabbing. On females, curly hair can be either very cute or very beautiful. Some males even have curly hair. There are some females who have curly afro hairstyles. I tend to find curly afros to be very nice. When it comes to curly hair, I consider Taylor Swift (before going straight-haired) had some of the most beautiful curls of any celebrity past or present.

• Braided/Plaited Hair.
Braids of many kinds can be very expressive no matter what the style. Some prefer good old cornrow braids. Some others prefer something like French braids. Whatever the case, braids are a great way to dress up your hair. However, care is needed that braids aren't wrapped too tight to where you face some possible problems with your hair.

• Shaved Hair
For some females, shaved hair is their best way of expressing their style. It can a bit unusual to not see flowing hair from some females. I primarily expressed shaved hair here in regards to feminine hair.

• Bald
Maybe you can look great without having any hair to speak of (or very minimal). Rather than worry about hair, just go bald! You at least won't have to worry about going to the barber shop or anything. Or at least, not have to worry about the barber unless you're going for other needs (like trimming mustaches, beards, etc.).

Hair: Bangs.

Bangs can instantly frame a face. They can be subtle or overly dramatic. They can be to the side or dominate one's forehead. Whatever the case, bangs can be a statement-maker.

Hair: Wigs and Weaves.

There are some people who wear wigs and weaves. Some wear wigs mostly as costumes. Some others wear wigs after facing something like cancer. Among some people, there are those who complain over superficial beauty- including talking negative about women who have fake hair.

Hair: Extensions.

If you want to add some extra length to your hair, try hair extensions. A nicely-installed set of hair extensions can give any female lovely, longer hair.


However you like hair, I will be sure to discuss hairstyles and hair trends as best as I can and in the way I see things.

Everything about us is literally our own easels for which we paint a picture of our style and personality to the world. Hair is no different. Our hair is as much of style statements as any fashions we may wear. We all make our own unique statements with the clothes we wear. The same statements can be made with our hair and how we choose to style our hair. Even if you don't have any hair or any real hair, you still choose to and want to make a statement. How you choose to showcase your hair is up to you. Regardless, how you style your hair can be as crucial to framing your face and head as wearing a good pair of shoes with any outfit.

The Price of Denim

Almost everyone has something denim in their wardrobe. How much are you willing to pay to look and feel your best wearing denim? It shouldn't have to cost a lot just to wear a simple pair of jeans or a denim skirt. Whether you want denim from Levi's or True Religion, you probably aren't too concerned about paying too much to wear denim. With a fabric as casual as denim, is it worth paying more than you have to just to wear denim? When is it okay to scrimp or splurge on denim? I'll talk about these items and more in this blog post.

Denim Appreciation

Before I begin talking about denim, let me explain some points that will ultimately lead up to proper discussion on the price of denim.

Most of the bottoms I wear are denim. As such a casual garment, you can wear denim with many things. All I have and wear outside the house are usually jeans. I wear them with a lot of casual outfits. So because of this, I commonly wear my denim. Many other people have varying levels of love for denim. A lot of females often like taking jeans and turning them into shorts, ripping them up for that ripped denim look, adding patches and other designs... you name it. And denim comes in various forms to peoples' liking- ripped, distressed, destroyed, acid-washed, paint-splattered, whisker-washed, sandblasted... there's various styles of denim to those who love wearing denim. Denim jeans can come in a number of different leg styles to compliment and appease to many fans- skinny, slim, regular, husky, bootcut, flared, and of course- good old bell bottom denim.

What makes denim so well-loved? For one, they are comfortable to wear, durable, and warm for those cold days. Denim for males can be cool and casual with many different outfits and for many different occasions. Denim for females can also be cool and casual, but they can also be stylish and seductive. You have your fair share of denim divas who proudly wear their denim and feel great wearing denim.

The reason why I mentioned denim in general is because denim involves more than just jeans. Jeans aren't the only denim garments. They are the most popular denim garments, but there are MANY more denim garments out there. I wanted to bring everything full circle regarding denim. Having said this, you now have some better appreciation for denim.

The Price of Denim

Denim garments come in various forms and at various price levels. I learned that people are paying for the fabric with more expensive denim garments. A test was conducted with ABC's "Good Morning America" program in 2010 talking about the difference between low-priced denim and high-priced denim. One pair of jeans was bought at Old Navy, and another was bought at Saks Fifth Avenue. Both proven to be durable jeans. When it came to washing, the high-end denim remained in great condition while the low-end jeans faded after a few washes. When it is okay to scrimp on denim? When is it okay to splurge on denim? Read on.

Denim: Better to Scrimp.

When you just want denim that will last you for casual usage, it's best to go with inexpensive denim. You may have just read that inexpensive denim would fade after a number of washes. For some people, even faded denim can still look stylish and still be wearable. Females who wear faded denim will even find new ways to make faded denim look stylish. The casual set will mostly be fine with inexpensive denim.

There are some inexpensive denim garments that have high-end look and polish. I think of certain trouser jeans- sophisticated denim garments good enough to wear to the office or for nights out- that aren't too expensive. I've even seen certain denim pant suits women wear. For all intents and purposes- denim that could be worn at certain office environments. Regardless, these inexpensive denims are a great indicator that you don't need lots of money to simply wear something denim, whether it's a pair of jeans or some kind of denim jacket.

Denim: Better to Splurge.

When is more expensive denim better than an inexpensive pair? Remember from my "Scrimp or Splurge?" blog post that you don't invest in something unless you feel it is worth investing in. More expensive denim are for those who want the most comfortable and most stylish pair of jeans money can buy. Some denim designers have premium denim that costs a great deal and are really warranting of their high prices. High-end denim that comes to mind for me are 7 for All Mankind, True Religion, Rock and Republic, Rag and Bone, Rich and Skinny, 18th Amendment, and more. Some of these make some of the finest high-priced denim.

I think you should only invest in high-end denim if you want a certain denim garment that no inexpensive denim maker can ever match or better. In other words, a lady wants a certain pair of denim jeans that is classy and stylish that low-end denim makers could never better. So a girl could wear some inexpensive denim casually, but she may prefer to wear some high-end denim from a certain maker when she wants a high-end denim look for a night out or for certain semi-formal outfits. Same goes for a guy who wants some good-fitting, good-looking denim for a night out.

How Much Can Denim Garments Cost?

It depends on the maker or retailer. A simple pair of jeans from retailers like JCPenney or Kohl's likely won't cost over $35 US Dollars or $20 US Dollars. Some more expensive or high-end retailers have jeans that may be as cheap as $75 US Dollars, but may climb up to about maybe $300 US Dollars or more! Japanese denim maker, Evisu, mostly makes jeans for men that sell for no less than $300 US Dollars. Evisu does offer some women's jeans, but I mostly know of them making jeans for men.

The denim maker I respect the most is 7 For All Mankind. I mostly know them for making some of the hottest flared jeans for females. 7FAM offers denim usually no less than $150 US Dollars. Their jeans are usually well-respected among those who wear them (both males and females).

According to an article on whatitcosts.com, one pair of jeans was rumored to sell at an astonishing price of $1.3M US Dollars! That is almost $200K US Dollars less than a Bugatti Veyron. For those of you who know nothing about cars, the Veyron is a very fast and very exclusive supercar from the French automaker, Bugatti.


You now have loads of insight on how expensive denim can be. Note that you're mostly paying for the fabric as far as how expensive denim can be.





So by all means, proudly wear your denim.
