If you're new here, welcome to "StyleSpace by JBM!" This is a non-traditional fashion blog I created back in 2012. Non-traditional in the sense that I come up with random topics that all relates to fashion. It's a fashion blog first and foremost; I just do things differently. No giveaways, no fashion show coverage, no outfit posts, just boring fashion talk that I still somehow try to make as interesting as I can.

--- Jeggings at a Glance ---
How about I show you a pair of jeggings before I begin? Here is a basic pair of jeggings I found simply to set the mood of this blog post:

According to Wikipedia:
"Jeggings were brought on by the resurgence in style of skinny jeans in the mid-to-late 2000s (decade), when a higher demand for an even tighter style of pants came about."

Somewhere between jeans and leggings are jeggings. Actually, jeggings slot in somewhere between leggings and skinny jeans. I've been told that jeggings actually aren't as thick as any average pair of jeans. Since these jeggings are so form-fitting and skinny at the legs, they are fairly easy to tuck into tall boots. As with almost any legging-focused debate, you have the crowd who are among the "leggings are not pants" debate. Jeggings are no different. Denim designers ranging from mainstream companies to high-end designers offer jeggings. So you could pay maybe $20 US Dollars for a pair of jeggings from a mainstream store or pay upwards of $200 US Dollars for jeggings from a high-end maker. Regardless, the appeal is there in these leggings that are as chic as any average pair of jeans.
Jeggings vs. Skinny Jeans.
(This section only pertains to as much as I know about jeggings. Don't take this as anything professional.)What is the difference between the two? For what I know, jeggings are still essentially denim leggings while skinny jeans are proper denim that is much thicker. Both items would still look hot with a hot pair of pumps or sandals or boots, but skinny jeans are more proper pants than jeggings.
Now that I've provided a good bit of perspective on jeggings, it's time to offer some thoughts.

When I was a regular on a certain online message board, I actually got sick and tired and bored of leggings. Like... is every female into leggings so much that pants are overrated? I especially felt this way back when I loathed the combination of skirts with leggings like in the mid-2000s. I even got tired of skinny jeans discussion there as well.Being someone unqualified to properly discuss fashion to consider myself "fashionable," I tend to find jeggings rather pointless. If seeking slim-leg bottoms, you're better off with a proper pair of skinny jeans or maybe some yoga pants. I am about as unexcited about jeggings as I am with boyfriend jeans or harem pants. I've seen jeggings more as trying to further milk and expend the appeal of leggings as much as possible.
Love denim? Love super-slim bottoms? Get a pair of skinny jeans/pants or some other legging-thin, legging-thick bottoms instead. Leave jeggings by their lonesome. They are about as pointless of denim bottoms as those "As Seen on TV" pajama jeans from a few years ago. Just make it stop. Stuff like jeggings only confirms just how tired I've gotten of leggings and tights. Don't hate them or anything... just mostly tired of them and the praise associated with leggings and even jeggings.
